Spraying ants makes it worse.
Ghost ants split their colony when you spray them. Palmetto bugs come from the drain, not from your housekeeping. Both are entry-point problems, and both get baited rather than blasted.

What you will see
Tiny pale ants trailing to the kitchen sink or the bathroom. Soil piles along pavers and driveway edges. Large brown roaches near drains and in the garage after dark. Small tan roaches in a kitchen, which is a different problem and a more urgent one.
What it means
Ghost and bigheaded ants are following moisture and a gap they can walk through. American roaches (palmetto bugs) are coming up plumbing and in under doors. German roaches in a kitchen breed indoors and multiply fast. None of it means a dirty house.
What we do
Gel and granular bait along the actual trails, so the colony carries it home instead of splitting. Drain and harborage treatment for roaches, an exterior perimeter treatment, and a walk-through of the gaps (door sweeps, weep holes, hose bibs) that let them in.

Ghost ant colonies respond to a chemical threat by budding: one colony becomes several, each with its own queen, in new places. Bait gets carried back instead, which is why it works slower and lasts.
Bait placements go where people and pets do not reach: inside cabinets, along the back of appliances, in cracks. Raul will show you every placement before he leaves.

Baiting shows a drop in a few days and clears a trail in one to two weeks, because the colony has to consume and share it. Anything that clears in an hour has only killed what you could see.
